i am interested in applying for a job outside of my town. I am currently making 14 an hour and this job i am applying for is salary range 9-10 I live in central california (bakersfield) It is for a great company that has lots of roomfor advancement. I dont mind the drive it is only about 30 miles and it is a 9/80 work schedule. So I was wondering if anyone knows how much a 9-10 salary range pays?

$9.00 to $10.00 an hour you would be taking a pay cut

it's 9-10 dollars/hr. You would be taking a pay cut but if their is room for advancement and you are in a dead end job now, I would go for it as long as you can afford the pay cut in the mean time. However, with the price of gas these days, you might be eating up more than it's worth.

About Why is it that I hate every job I get

Why is it that I hate every job I get?!?
Okay, so I am sitting here at work thinking about how much I hate my job. But guess what, I hated my last job as well. I am only 20 years old. How awful is it that I hate my jobs! I mean, I am by no means ignorant, or lazy. When I have work to do I always get it done, it just seems like every damn job I get either my boss is a complete A**hole who promises they are going to send me to school, and never comes through, or I don't get enough out of what I am diong. I really, really have worked since I was 14 years old... since my parents divorced. Maybe it's just that I hate working because it is something that I had to do under certain circumstances and now my mind is an adult and wants other things? I don't know... anybody know of any good jobs? I am in Bakersfield, CA. I can type 74NWPM. I love computers... know lots of programs.... someone help! E-mail: Jessica_nicole@sbcglobal.net Thank you!

Well, if you're only 20 and haven't graduated from college yet, your options are limited. If you have good people skills and don't mind studying for and taking license exams, you can try your hand at something like real estate or financial services and practically be your own boss. I know people who don't even have a Bachelor's Degree that are pretty accomplished in the abovementioned fields. And they make really good money, too.

go on to a voluntary website and get a job in Africa for six months to a year for fill your life get your food and board covered by charity and the world is your oyster dude...................... don't be afraid bite the bullet and go for it before you meet a boyfriend/girlfriend one life good luck

The Army is looking for people like you. Give them a shot......

In this life, you basically get what you think about. If you hate your job, the universe will just give you more to hate. If you want to have a job you love, then read The Secret by Rhonda Byrn. Focus on what you want and that is what you will get. Sadly, if you keep your focus on what you don't want that is what you will get, too.

Basically, you hate your job because it gets in the way of life :0) Seriously, you have to find something that you are passionate about and make a career of it. It's true what the say - if you do something you love the money will follow. Don't do something just for the money - do it for the love of the game. You are going to spend 8 hours a day for the next fifty years "going to work" so you better make it something you enjoy doing.

I work at an agency of over 500 social workers, and none of them have assistants.
2 :
The only assistants that I know a social worker has is possibly a secretary. You might be able to get some sort of internship but that's it.
3 :
There are places that use social worker assistants . You need a BSW or if really motivated a MSW. It is thought that the number of people who are in the "baby boomer" era age that there will be an increase of needed social workers to help fill the gap of an increased work load. I would perhaps see about a job (for the experience) in a local hospital or long term nursing facility.I do wish you all the best and don't let anyone tell you there is no chance. People like you are needed!

Need well paying job, still in high school, part-time,19yrs old?
I need a job desperately. Are there any places that give around $10.00 an hr.? Restaurants, fast-food, clothing stores anything where I don't have to work alone. I live in Bakersfield, California. Can you give me good websites and what catergory are restaurants, fast-food, clothing stores and all those places are in? I can't find the catergory where these are located on the job sites.

I can refer you to this great site: http://www.jobreferralswest.com The company is a licensed work-from-home employment agency that specializes in finding real jobs, not scams. Anyone can apply as long as you're permitted to work in the US. Legal immigrants are also welcome. There are great opportunities for stay at home moms & dads, students are welcome! What's good about them is they research and find legitimate jobs and they're not affiliated with the companies they refer. No commissions, benefits or incentives from the companies. Not a bunch of banners on the site, they do a really good service for the work from home community. If you can work independently, without someone looking over your shoulder, check it out!

No- pretty much anywhere that involves animals requires employees to be 18 and older for insurance liability reasons. Some places may take 16 year olds, but a 12 year old? Not a chance.
2 :
Legally she can't get a paying job at this age. She can try farm hand work for a private party, pet sitting business, pet walking business, pretty much anything that is privately run.
3 :
She can't get a paying job, but many shelters take volunteers. Where I live volunteers can start at age 13 and there's many many jobs involving animals. Even at 12 there's still some stuff available. So maybe you could look into that?
4 :
I walk a dog and its easy and fun. Good for the dog and good for me. You don't have to be 18 all the time to get some jobs. Maybe if she lives close by Neighbors then she could ask them if she can take care of their pet. I would say Walking a dog, Taking care of a pet while someone's gone away on a trip, Maybe even grooming a pet or entertaining a pet. If she wants that job then she can go to some neighbors and ask them. Hope this helps! :)
5 :
Her family can foster a guide dog puppy, and if she's smart and responsible enough, she can /help/ train him. Her family can also foster animals from your local shelter and she can help. The parents will be doing most of the work, because, well, they're the adults. She won't get paid, but her and her family will gain experience from having animals around 24/7. She'll even learn a lot about how guide dogs help blind or physically disabled people.

12 years old sounds a bit young to be thinking about work! I agree with Kate, who answered above... I'm not high enough level to "thumbs up" yet, though. :( Volunteering at a shelter might be a good idea for her, though! Lots of no-kill shelters, rescues and even a humane society or the pound might be able to help her out if she just wants to be around animals, though. Good luck to her!
