About I need help starting a job search within Childcare

I need help starting a job search within Childcare?
Hi, I am embarking on a career change in order to be at home more often.(raising my niece with the help of my mom who lives with me.) I have a B.A. in Religious Studies and I will have my 12 units in Child development completed by the end of July. My goal is to work with elementary aged children in the after school hours (2:00 PM-6:00PM) I have only done some preliminary searches but everything I have come across requires that you have classroom experience. I work at the church nursery right now which is a paid position but that is the extent of my classroom time, and it is ages 0-2. Any advice? Also, I am job searching within Bakersfield California, if that makes a difference. Thanks

My job is mind numbingly boring, and if that were all there was to it, I would hate it like West Virginia fans hate the Pitt Panthers right about now (that's called a "dig," OK?)....but it does pay very well, so there's that compensation. Also, the group of about twenty or so people I work with on a constant basis are just about the nicest, greatest group of people you could ever hope to assemble in one place, so it makes the actual workday enjoyable...even if the job itself sucks out loud. We're kind of like family....and that makes up for a lot.

I am not working at the job that I really want - radio presentation or production. I work in the public service and it can be very demoralizing after a while - but it does pay well. I'm just afraid that I have become a grumpy old man before my time.
19 :
I don't have one, but about 6 months ago I used to work at Subway and I thought it was ok, I wouldn't say I hated It.

Not precisely, i need it.....

Not at 15 no you have to be 18
2 :
don't use that pain thing as an excuse to use weed. ur parents consent has nothing to do with u able to get weed. u need a doctors prescriptions for it. and since u liv ein bakersfeild, there are ppl dealing drugs all day. there are ppl doing it on ur street.

The age limit is 18. Extraordinary circumstances would have to apply for one to be granted to a minor, and depression is not one of them.

About what is salary range 9-10

what is salary range 9-10?
i am interested in applying for a job outside of my town. I am currently making 14 an hour and this job i am applying for is salary range 9-10 I live in central california (bakersfield) It is for a great company that has lots of roomfor advancement. I dont mind the drive it is only about 30 miles and it is a 9/80 work schedule. So I was wondering if anyone knows how much a 9-10 salary range pays?

$9.00 to $10.00 an hour you would be taking a pay cut
2 :
it's 9-10 dollars/hr. You would be taking a pay cut but if their is room for advancement and you are in a dead end job now, I would go for it as long as you can afford the pay cut in the mean time. However, with the price of gas these days, you might be eating up more than it's worth.

About Why is it that I hate every job I get

Why is it that I hate every job I get?!?
Okay, so I am sitting here at work thinking about how much I hate my job. But guess what, I hated my last job as well. I am only 20 years old. How awful is it that I hate my jobs! I mean, I am by no means ignorant, or lazy. When I have work to do I always get it done, it just seems like every damn job I get either my boss is a complete A**hole who promises they are going to send me to school, and never comes through, or I don't get enough out of what I am diong. I really, really have worked since I was 14 years old... since my parents divorced. Maybe it's just that I hate working because it is something that I had to do under certain circumstances and now my mind is an adult and wants other things? I don't know... anybody know of any good jobs? I am in Bakersfield, CA. I can type 74NWPM. I love computers... know lots of programs.... someone help! E-mail: Jessica_nicole@sbcglobal.net Thank you!

if you have time to play on the computer at work then its a good job

Well, if you're only 20 and haven't graduated from college yet, your options are limited. If you have good people skills and don't mind studying for and taking license exams, you can try your hand at something like real estate or financial services and practically be your own boss. I know people who don't even have a Bachelor's Degree that are pretty accomplished in the abovementioned fields. And they make really good money, too.
3 :
go on to a voluntary website and get a job in Africa for six months to a year for fill your life get your food and board covered by charity and the world is your oyster dude...................... don't be afraid bite the bullet and go for it before you meet a boyfriend/girlfriend one life good luck

your lazy

The Army is looking for people like you. Give them a shot......

In this life, you basically get what you think about. If you hate your job, the universe will just give you more to hate. If you want to have a job you love, then read The Secret by Rhonda Byrn. Focus on what you want and that is what you will get. Sadly, if you keep your focus on what you don't want that is what you will get, too.
7 :
Basically, you hate your job because it gets in the way of life :0) Seriously, you have to find something that you are passionate about and make a career of it. It's true what the say - if you do something you love the money will follow. Don't do something just for the money - do it for the love of the game. You are going to spend 8 hours a day for the next fifty years "going to work" so you better make it something you enjoy doing.
