You should apply for some jobs online monster.com snagajob.com hotjobs.com ect..
3 :
try convenient stores
4 :
maybe try somewhere that you can operate a cash register and work in a grocery store, since you have experience operating a cash register and working in a grocery store.
5 :
If i were you i would either work at walmart or save alot because you get atleast 6 dollars a night. and their not cheep like other stores, so have a nice aplication and your welcom good luck!
6 :
well you have customer service experience.....find out property managment companies that are hiring and become an apartment leasing consultant, you don't ususally need previous experience, and they will train you.......I make about $10-$15 P/hr Plus commission on every person that moves into an apartment! its kind of in the sales department but its good because there are a lot of people that are always looking to move into and apartment! plus you get to wear cute business attire and you feel important.....good luck
7 :
Sorry no suggestions for Ca. area but if you lived closer to me I'd hire ya in a instant!

Are you asking for too much money for the jobs you've applied for? Do you have the experience for those jobs? Have you completely filled out the applications? Do you go into the business' and apply and NOT over the phone?? Keep going back to the prospective employer as the squeaky wheel gets oiled.
9 :
Get your butt up and find one

I think , bakersfield Ca area does not have much jobs. You should live in the big city for your first entry job. After , you got experience . You should go wherever you want. Bakersfied Ca , has only as gas station that need a cash register job. Beside , farm. Thanks

Well if you wanted extra money you could do an online job. There are alot out there,I actually do this job online that I really am liking its typistjobs.net.I have tried other online jobs such as amazon, overstock and a casino affiliate job which cost me $300 and made about $20 in a year!!!I was so RIPPED OFF.So I joined this other job and i actually made over $800 in the first month.December is slow though,I hear its slow for many businesses but anyways just thought i'de share this job with you.

Like any other full time college student, the popular choices are either work as a waitress, bartender, or one of the large 24/7 retail stores (Walmart/KMart). Good luck.
2 :
Check out the local newspaper on Sundays, that is when most business post openings. You'd be surprised at the number of part time jobs in offices, customer services, data entry, etc. Also check out Monster or Careerbuilder, they are both great sites.

You could be a waitress at the most popular (or expensive) resturant in ur town. You could babysit others children. Like put out flyers and say the amount you would like per hour per kid. Make the flyer look good, not just some white paper. That doesn't stand out too much as colored paper. Or if you want you can do both. (just make sure you don't fall asleep when you have kids over. Or a stranger will call. muahahahahahaha. lol, jk. Movie I saw.)

About What colleges would you recommend

What colleges would you recommend?
I live in california so i was looking into the UCs but i dont mind out of state universities. i just want an idea of which colleges to apply to freshman year GPA 4.0 all A's (my school didnt have any AP classes for 9th grade but I took GATE) sophomore GPA 4.22 all A's but low GPA becuase i had a full schedule-9 classes. took all honors and AP available. Junior year GPA 4.429. would have been a 4.5 (school stops the GPA there) but had a full schedule. all AP and Honors available. so the more classes i take, the lower my GPA is. i didnt qualify in NMSQ. does that matter? im taking the SAT in january. varsity tennis, in asb and leadership, officer positions in a few clubs. hospital and tutoring volunteer work, a little here and there as well. top 10% of my class, i dont know my official ranking yet. sorry, this is a little vague and i know im not outstanding but which universities would you recommend? i am the first 4 year graduating class of my high school in bakersfield. i intend to major in biochemistry or premed. or should i go undeclared? thanks. in orchestra and the energy and utility academy at school. did art, yearbook, and debate for a while but i couldnt continue becuase my schedule was really impacted. took 6 years of math up to calculus 2, 4 years everything else, and a few other classes over the summer. comes from low income, asian american family, will be the first to attend college ever. okay. im done with details! thanks in advance!

I would go to a University of Wisconsin School. You get FREE textbook rentals, saving you tons of money each year.

Need help with Unemployment Benefits Appeal...?
I recently went to Bakersfield just to seek employment and thought i would be there longer and asked EDD to mail my check there and that was stupid of me... so i was there on Feb 12 just for the day and they set up a phone interview and that went well then they mailed my check, today i got a letter from them to file an appeal if i wish to because they denied my benefits for a week and the reason they state was because i was out for personal affairs and i did explained to them it was for work purpose only .... should i file the appeal and if i do not file it will they denied all benefits and will i be in trouble??? Please help with this.. So ..i was only away for a few days but is it worth fling for the appeal?? I am not sure what to do and does this mean they will stop amm my benefits ?? They have continued to send me claim forms ? So am not sure if to file it just to obtain benefits just for a week or just let it go and if i dont file the appeal will i be in any kind of problem.. Anytime you move your benefits will stop ! If you file an appeal it will take about 3 months just to reclaim the one week pay you missed and it's not likely you will win. It is up to you if you want to appeal for that week missed if I was you I wouldn't bother just continue to sent your continued claim forms in so you can get your checks.
