I am a HVAC student in San Joaquin Valley college in Bakersfield, CA and for an assignment I need to make contact with technicians in the field. It would be great if you could answer the following questions and please email me your NAME AND NUMBER just in case my instructor thinks I answered the questions myself, and I'll just be able to show his your name and number so he knows it's legit. 1. Why did you go into the HVAC field or air conditioning field? Money and I like the outdoors! 2. How long have you been in the field? 16years 3. What are the things you like most about the field? new people, good challenges. 4. What business are you working for? Owner 5. What are the things you DO NOT like about the field? Rain 6. Is there any special training you would recommend to me? Go to as many seminars as possible. Stay away from lazy shortcutting techs! 7. Are there any difficulties or challenges you encountered in entering the field that you think I may need to overcome? Respect electricity but do not be afraid of it. 8. How can i best prepare for them? Buy some componets (contactor, trans, a couple of relays, light bulbs, and a heat/cool stat., a piece of scrap board and build your own trainer at home. 9.
