Not at 15 no you have to be 18
2 :
don't use that pain thing as an excuse to use weed. ur parents consent has nothing to do with u able to get weed. u need a doctors prescriptions for it. and since u liv ein bakersfeild, there are ppl dealing drugs all day. there are ppl doing it on ur street.

The age limit is 18. Extraordinary circumstances would have to apply for one to be granted to a minor, and depression is not one of them.

About what is salary range 9-10

what is salary range 9-10?
i am interested in applying for a job outside of my town. I am currently making 14 an hour and this job i am applying for is salary range 9-10 I live in central california (bakersfield) It is for a great company that has lots of roomfor advancement. I dont mind the drive it is only about 30 miles and it is a 9/80 work schedule. So I was wondering if anyone knows how much a 9-10 salary range pays?

$9.00 to $10.00 an hour you would be taking a pay cut
2 :
it's 9-10 dollars/hr. You would be taking a pay cut but if their is room for advancement and you are in a dead end job now, I would go for it as long as you can afford the pay cut in the mean time. However, with the price of gas these days, you might be eating up more than it's worth.

About Why is it that I hate every job I get

Why is it that I hate every job I get?!?
Okay, so I am sitting here at work thinking about how much I hate my job. But guess what, I hated my last job as well. I am only 20 years old. How awful is it that I hate my jobs! I mean, I am by no means ignorant, or lazy. When I have work to do I always get it done, it just seems like every damn job I get either my boss is a complete A**hole who promises they are going to send me to school, and never comes through, or I don't get enough out of what I am diong. I really, really have worked since I was 14 years old... since my parents divorced. Maybe it's just that I hate working because it is something that I had to do under certain circumstances and now my mind is an adult and wants other things? I don't know... anybody know of any good jobs? I am in Bakersfield, CA. I can type 74NWPM. I love computers... know lots of programs.... someone help! E-mail: Jessica_nicole@sbcglobal.net Thank you!

Well, if you're only 20 and haven't graduated from college yet, your options are limited. If you have good people skills and don't mind studying for and taking license exams, you can try your hand at something like real estate or financial services and practically be your own boss. I know people who don't even have a Bachelor's Degree that are pretty accomplished in the abovementioned fields. And they make really good money, too.

go on to a voluntary website and get a job in Africa for six months to a year for fill your life get your food and board covered by charity and the world is your oyster dude...................... don't be afraid bite the bullet and go for it before you meet a boyfriend/girlfriend one life good luck

In this life, you basically get what you think about. If you hate your job, the universe will just give you more to hate. If you want to have a job you love, then read The Secret by Rhonda Byrn. Focus on what you want and that is what you will get. Sadly, if you keep your focus on what you don't want that is what you will get, too.
7 :
Basically, you hate your job because it gets in the way of life :0) Seriously, you have to find something that you are passionate about and make a career of it. It's true what the say - if you do something you love the money will follow. Don't do something just for the money - do it for the love of the game. You are going to spend 8 hours a day for the next fifty years "going to work" so you better make it something you enjoy doing.

I'm taking some classes and i am getting my CJ degree in may and want to go back to get my BA in social working but can i get a job as a assistant for a social worker i really need the experience and I'm in bakersfield CA

I work at an agency of over 500 social workers, and none of them have assistants.
2 :
The only assistants that I know a social worker has is possibly a secretary. You might be able to get some sort of internship but that's it.
3 :
There are places that use social worker assistants . You need a BSW or if really motivated a MSW. It is thought that the number of people who are in the "baby boomer" era age that there will be an increase of needed social workers to help fill the gap of an increased work load. I would perhaps see about a job (for the experience) in a local hospital or long term nursing facility.I do wish you all the best and don't let anyone tell you there is no chance. People like you are needed!

I can refer you to this great site: http://www.jobreferralswest.com The company is a licensed work-from-home employment agency that specializes in finding real jobs, not scams. Anyone can apply as long as you're permitted to work in the US. Legal immigrants are also welcome. There are great opportunities for stay at home moms & dads, students are welcome! What's good about them is they research and find legitimate jobs and they're not affiliated with the companies they refer. No commissions, benefits or incentives from the companies. Not a bunch of banners on the site, they do a really good service for the work from home community. If you can work independently, without someone looking over your shoulder, check it out!

About can a 12 year old get a job that has to deal with animals

can a 12 year old get a job that has to deal with animals?
my cousin 12 years old in the bakersfield california area. where can she get a job that has to deal with animals. she loves animals. any jobs she can work at now. she doesn't work with reptiles. she can work with small animals, dogs, cats, and other FRIENDLY animals. any good jobs. she doesnt really care about the pay as long as she gets at least $5 - $10 a day. thx

No- pretty much anywhere that involves animals requires employees to be 18 and older for insurance liability reasons. Some places may take 16 year olds, but a 12 year old? Not a chance.
2 :
Legally she can't get a paying job at this age. She can try farm hand work for a private party, pet sitting business, pet walking business, pretty much anything that is privately run.
3 :
She can't get a paying job, but many shelters take volunteers. Where I live volunteers can start at age 13 and there's many many jobs involving animals. Even at 12 there's still some stuff available. So maybe you could look into that?
4 :
I walk a dog and its easy and fun. Good for the dog and good for me. You don't have to be 18 all the time to get some jobs. Maybe if she lives close by Neighbors then she could ask them if she can take care of their pet. I would say Walking a dog, Taking care of a pet while someone's gone away on a trip, Maybe even grooming a pet or entertaining a pet. If she wants that job then she can go to some neighbors and ask them. Hope this helps! :)
5 :
Her family can foster a guide dog puppy, and if she's smart and responsible enough, she can /help/ train him. Her family can also foster animals from your local shelter and she can help. The parents will be doing most of the work, because, well, they're the adults. She won't get paid, but her and her family will gain experience from having animals around 24/7. She'll even learn a lot about how guide dogs help blind or physically disabled people.
6 :
12 years old sounds a bit young to be thinking about work! I agree with Kate, who answered above... I'm not high enough level to "thumbs up" yet, though. :( Volunteering at a shelter might be a good idea for her, though! Lots of no-kill shelters, rescues and even a humane society or the pound might be able to help her out if she just wants to be around animals, though. Good luck to her!

About wHO TO GET A JOB IN AN AIRPORT OR FOR AN AIRLINES

wHO TO GET A JOB IN AN AIRPORT OR FOR AN AIRLINES ???
Hi. please don't be harsh on me...i'm only 18...just graduated...so go easy on me here. i need your help. i need to know the process of getting a job in an airport or an airlines. i LOVE airports. i love to travel. i currently work at Wal-Mart and it sucks there. I hate working in stores. another problem is that i live in Bakersfield, CA. yeah i live there....practically a desert here. lol. plz help me!!! i'm begging ya! plz! what's wrong with my English?

first of all learn english
2 :
southwest or delta i got family on both ends and they like it as a flight attendedant..
3 :
Usually, most companies list their employment opportunities on their website. Go to southwest.com, delta.com, united.com, etc. and apply online. If you want to be a flight attendant I believe they will train you.
4 :
Go to the airlines websites and apply. That's how I got my flight attendant job!
5 :
I live in Canada but I googled your town and it looks like Southwest is hiring Flight Attendants I know it says the deadline is past but it never hurts to ask again. Have a nice Flight. http://www.salary.com/careers/layouthtmls/jm_CA-Aviation-and-Airlines-jobs-in-Bakersfield.html
6 :
Go to airlines websites and see what openings they have. Most airlines wont hire anyone under 21.
7 :
I got my job working for an airline by browsing their website and submitting a CV on their Careers page. Usually all airlines will have a "contact us" link on their website, maybe you can start from there? :) Wishing you luck!
8 :
I'm in the midwest, so not familiar with Bakersfield. However, if there is a major airport in your area I'd start with the airlines that go in and out of it. If not you could still get a job with an airline as an FA (flight attendant) but you'd have to be willing to relocate or at the very least suffer the commute. If you speak two languages that would be a big plus in helping to get a job as an FA and working at wal-mart is also in you favor because it's considered customer service and they are looking for people with a customer service background. Most airlines have any info needed on their website, just start there and...Good Luck :)
9 :
Apply for any and all jobs with the airlines. Diamondjade is right, Skywest is almost always hiring, they are expanding. and hire under 21.Go to www.skywest.com and apply online. You can also try going to the airport and talking to people who work there.Getting a flight attendant job can be harder than the other jobs because that's the one with the most competition, but once you have your foot in the door with another airline job it is easier to transfer into it. Working at the airport requires a background check and once you've had one done (for any airline job, for example - ramp. [Ramp is a job where you load suitcases and bring planes in].The airlines and usually the airport will pay for and do this check) all the airlines are more willing to consider you. Good luck !

Job while taking pre reqs for nursing?
I live in bakersfield ca and was thing about taking cna classes and become a cna while in school. What do you guys think or is there any other programs/ jobs that would be a good idea. I would have to take classes at night because I do work days.

I think you're on the right track by becoming a CNA.
2 :
Definitely look into getting your CNA and working while going to school. It will give you a whole new outlook for nursing and respect for the field. It will help the CNA's working with you respect you later, and you will respect them more, as well. It also can help you figure out if that is really what you want to do.

About how does one get a job at a dispensary

How does one get a job at a dispensary?
I live in Bakersfield, CA and I have had my medical marijuana card for awhile now. Ive always wanted to learn all i honestly could about weed from the science of growing to making edibles and hash. But the only way i see me getting toward that goal of mine would be to at least surround myself by it and the best way i could think of is working in a dispensary. HELP ME

You get a job by filling out an application form at the website or the business itself. You will probably need some medical-related degree, and not be addicted to the stuff that you dispense You learn about stuff by reading books or websites about it, or taking lessons, or by working in a business that does it. AFAIK, dispensary does not grow MJ or make edibles or hash.

Bakersfield is not LA, so the homes there are going to be a lot more reasonable. Try rent.com. You can also check out apartmentratings.com to see what tenants think. Craigslist.com comes to mind as well.

I have been receiving unemployment for a year now, live in LA and went to bakersfield for 2 days to find wrk?
I asked EDD if they can mail my check there and they said they will make the change and all they maild me was a telephone interview and did not mail me my check///.... am i denied of benefits because i went to look for work in another area??please help Hello, Thank you for replying to my post and gladly appreciate it.. I know that i messed up big time and wished i didnt so what is the best way to speak to EDD about this matter when they call me up in a few days??? I really need help....thanks guys

Actually I just went to craigslist for LA and looked at the job listings, the truth is that there are tons of openings!!! But of course they probably wont pay enough to survive in LA well maybe in a 1 bedroom studio.
2 :
If you are only going to Bakersfield for two days, why would you even think of changing your address for a single mailing?!? The system will now think you are moving there permanently! And for that, they want a telephone interview. You should have just kept quiet and not said anything, since it's irrelevant if you're going to BK for 2 days. Dude, you messed up big time. Your benefits aren't denied, but you're going to delay getting your checks now until the phone interview. D'OH! The good news is that once you get it all straightened out, you'll get one big check. The bad news is that you won't have any money until a week after the phone interview. I hope you have money in the bank!
3 :
Your mistake was telling EDD anything. You should have had the check mailed to your home, even if you were not there. Your benefits are not denied. They are merely delayed. EDD will send them after the interview.
